Stories on
a bicycle
Esther Yamuza is a traveller and storyteller. She travels around the world with her bicycle, telling stories on two wheels, thanks to her Japanese theatre called butai. This mysterious box, which folds in and out, keeps charming stories and fables where the only limit is your imagination…

CUENTOS BLANDITOS
Created to stimulate the learning process of children from 1 to 3 years old, and to that end, it recreates their first sensory experiences using objects that encourage them to observe and to absorb; it uses music and words with the sensibilities of poetic language.
Children participate by emitting sounds, making movements, touching, smelling or recognising the characters in the stories. Esther supports the words with oral and gestural expressions, and encourages active participation of the audience in every moment.
SEWING STORIES
Homage to my Grandmother
“This storytelling session belongs to a Spanish oral tradition that is related to couplets, proverbs, and familiar anecdotes, coming together in homage to family oral traditions; the tradition that passes around from mouth to ear, surrounded by the warmth of the home environment … mixing with the household chores.

GIRLY THINGS?
“Girly Things?” is a carefully selected collection of stories and songs from different cultures about gender stereotypes. Everywhere, from the earliest of times, differences in treatment and opportunities have been dependent on belonging to one sex or another. This oral storytelling show has been created to embrace coeducation, to find equality through those differences.
Recommended age: 6-14 years old
